OTHER SERVICES: Planning Appeals

So, you've submitted a design to the Planners, and they've turned it down. What do you do now?

Assuming that your design was sensible and met all of the published criteria, then you may not have this problem at all. However, with some Planning Applications for extensions or other works to your home, your Application may be refused because the Planning Authority say it's "not in keeping with the design of the property and street scene". Often this means that the Planning Officer simply does not like it!

In these cases (and many others) a Planning Appeal can often be successful. Alternatively, a small change to a design may be all that is needed to get an Approval with a resubmitted Planning Application.

David Jowett - Architect has had experience of literally hundreds of Planning Applications for domestic extensions, loft conversions and other work to homes in the North East of England. If your Planning Application has been refused he will be able to advise you as to what is the best course of action and, if necessary, to submit a Planning Appeal for you.

Contact David Jowett - Architect for advice if your Planning Application is refused.
